All of the courses in our professional development range have been carefully designed and developed to help you get better at what you do – whether you work in the for-profit or not-for-profit sector.
Like all our training, the emphasis is on the practical but with a solid theoretical underpinning. We use a variety of tried and tested learning methods including case studies, debate and group working. And our engaging and experienced trainers create supportive, friendly and fun environments where everyone can contribute.
Many of our professional development workshops – for example, leadership and management skills- are run publicly (that is, open to all comers) at venues across the UK. Others are are offered on demand and we ask you to add your name to a waiting list. All are available for in-house delivery which is cost effective if you’ve got more than a few people who need training with the added advantage that course content can be tailored to your specific organisational needs. Plus, of course, we come to you which saves on time and travelling expenses.
We know from experience (we’ve been in the learning business for more than 20 years) that a growing number of you are paying for your own training – not least because corporate training budgets are being squeezed by economic uncertainty. Like you, we passionately believe that self-funded learning is an investment not a cost. But we appreciate you’ve still got to find the money in the first place!
